CARE AND REQUIREMENTS OF STONY CORALS

- Always ensure that there is enough lighting. Select the correct metal halide to provide illumination
- Good water turbulence is a must as it will ensure that there won’t be stagnant spots that will allow infection to take place.
- Provide a good deal of space for it to grow and to avoid overcrowding which can deplete oxygen and natural food source
- Water cleanliness – need less to say, this is also one of the most important aspect. Make sure that calcium and other nutrients are present in the water in the right proportion.
- All specimens should be fed with constant supply of fresh phytoplankton and supplement with squid as the meaty portion. Do not concentrate the food in one area, so please spread it around
- Although not compulsory, ultraviolet sterilizer will ensure that incidence of infection can be minimized.
